1998 Canadian Grand Prix

The Canadian Grand Prix 1998 was the 7th round of the 1998 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada, on June 7th.

Michael Schumacher won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by Giancarlo Fisichella, and Eddie Irvine completing the podium.

David Coulthard started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he had a throttle issue, and had to retire on lap 18th.

These included, Esteban Tuero, and Damon Hill, both suffered from electrical problems, Olivier Panis, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, and Johnny Herbert, all of whom lost control and spun off the track, David Coulthard, who had a throttle issue on lap 18, Mika Salo, who had to retire due to an accident on lap 18, Mika Häkkinen, and Ralf Schumacher, both experienced issues with the gearbox, Jean Alesi, and Jarno Trulli, both retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, and Toranosuke Takagi, who had a transmission problem on lap 0.
