1991 Canadian Grand Prix

The Canadian Grand Prix 1991 was the 5th round of the 1991 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada, on June 2nd.

Nelson Piquet won the race after starting in the 8th position, followed by Stefano Modena, and Riccardo Patrese, who originally had the pole position, completing the podium.

These included, Nigel Mansell, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 68, Maurício Gugelmin, Jyrki Järvilehto, Ivan Capelli, Jean Alesi, Thierry Boutsen, and Martin Brundle, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Stefan Johansson, and Michele Alboreto, both had a throttle issue, Éric Bernard, and Alain Prost, both experienced issues with the gearbox, Ayrton Senna, who had a problem with the alternator on lap 25, Mika Häkkinen, and Gianni Morbidelli, both lost control and spun off the track, Roberto Moreno, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 10, Gerhard Berger, who had an problem with the injection on lap 4, Aguri Suzuki, who had a fuel leak on lap 3, and Olivier Grouillard, Nicola Larini, Eric van de Poele, and Pedro Chaves, all of whom did not prequalify.
