1982 Canadian Grand Prix

The Canadian Grand Prix 1982 was the 8th round of the 1982 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada, on June 13th.

Nelson Piquet won the race after starting in the 4th position, followed by Riccardo Patrese, and John Watson completing the podium.

Didier Pironi started from the pole position, but only managed to finish 9th.

These included, Andrea de Cesaris, Derek Daly, and Eddie Cheever, all of whom run out of fuel, Brian Henton, who did not classify on lap 59, Keke Rosberg, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 52, Raul Boesel, Michele Alboreto, Alain Prost, and Eliseo Salazar, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, René Arnoux, who lost control and spun off the track on lap 28, Niki Lauda, and Roberto Guerrero, both had a problem with the clutch, Jacques Laffite, who had a fuel system failure on lap 8, Bruno Giacomelli, Nigel Mansell, and Geoff Lees, all of whom retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, Jean-Pierre Jarier, who withdrew on lap 0, and Riccardo Paletti, who had the fatal accident all know about and will never forget on lap 0.
