The British Grand Prix 1996 was the 10th round of the 1996 F1 season, and took place at the Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, UK, on July 14th.

Jacques Villeneuve won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Gerhard Berger, and Mika Häkkinen completing the podium.

Damon Hill started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he had a wheel problem, and had to retire on lap 26th.
