These included, Ayrton Senna, who run out of fuel on lap 58, Christian Fittipaldi, and Martin Brundle, both experienced issues with the gearbox, Andrea de Cesaris, who did not classify on lap 43, Damon Hill, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 41, Alessandro Zanardi, and Gerhard Berger, both suffered a suspension problem, Thierry Boutsen, who had a problem witht he wheel bearing on lap 41, Luca Badoer, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 32, Pierluigi Martini, who had physical problems on lap 31, Karl Wendlinger, Aguri Suzuki, and Michael Andretti, all of whom lost control and spun off the track, and Érik Comas, who had problems with the halfshaft on lap 0.

Qualifying
