The British Grand Prix 1992 was the 9th round of the 1992 F1 season, and took place at the Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, UK, on July 12th.

Nigel Mansell won the race from the pole, followed by Riccardo Patrese, and Martin Brundle completing the podium.

These included, Gianni Morbidelli, Stefano Modena, and Maurício Gugelmin, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Ayrton Senna, Johnny Herbert, and Ukyo Katayama, all of whom had a transmission problem, Andrea de Cesaris, who lost control and spun off the track on lap 46, Jean Alesi, who suffered from an unidentified mechanical problem on lap 43, Bertrand Gachot, who had a wheel problem on lap 32, Karl Wendlinger, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 27, Eric van de Poele, who withdrew on lap 0, and Roberto Moreno, and Perry McCarthy, both did not prequalify.
