1990 British Grand Prix

The British Grand Prix 1990 was the 8th round of the 1990 F1 season, and took place at the Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, UK, on July 15th.

Alain Prost won the race after starting in the 5th position, followed by Thierry Boutsen, and Ayrton Senna completing the podium.

Nigel Mansell started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he experienced issues with the gearbox, and had to retire on lap 55th.

These included, Gerhard Berger, who had a throttle issue on lap 60, Nigel Mansell, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 55, Ivan Capelli, who had a fuel leak on lap 48, Martin Donnelly, Derek Warwick, Gabriele Tarquini, and Michele Alboreto, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Riccardo Patrese, who experienced problems with the chassis of the car on lap 26, Satoru Nakajima, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 20, Alessandro Nannini, who retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars on lap 15, Andrea de Cesaris, who had a fuel system failure on lap 12, Pierluigi Martini, who had a problem with the alternator on lap 3, Maurício Gugelmin, who had a fuel pump failure on lap 0, and Roberto Moreno, Yannick Dalmas, Claudio Langes, Bertrand Gachot, and Bruno Giacomelli, all of whom did not prequalify.
