The British Grand Prix 1986 was the 9th round of the 1986 F1 season, and took place at the Brands Hatch in Kent, UK, on July 13th.

Nigel Mansell won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Nelson Piquet, who originally had the pole position, and Alain Prost completing the podium.

These included, Thierry Boutsen, who did not classify on lap 62, Patrick Tambay, Ayrton Senna, and Keke Rosberg, all of whom experienced issues with the gearbox, Michele Alboreto, who had a turbo failure on lap 51, Alessandro Nannini, who had issues with the steering of the car on lap 50, Teo Fabi, who had a fuel system failure on lap 45, Riccardo Patrese, Huub Rothengatter, and Stefan Johansson, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Andrea de Cesaris, and Gerhard Berger, both suffered from electrical problems, Alan Jones, who had a throttle issue on lap 22, and Jacques Laffite, Christian Danner, Piercarlo Ghinzani, and Allen Berg, all of whom retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars.

Qualifying
