The British Grand Prix 1980 was the 8th round of the 1980 F1 season, and took place at the Brands Hatch in Kent, UK, on July 13th.

Alan Jones won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by Nelson Piquet, and Carlos Reutemann completing the podium.

Didier Pironi started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he experienced issues with a tyre, and had to retire on lap 63rd.
