The British Grand Prix 1972 was the 7th round of the 1972 F1 season, and took place at the Brands Hatch in Kent, UK, on July 15th.

Emerson Fittipaldi won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Jackie Stewart, and Peter Revson completing the podium.

Jacky Ickx started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered a loss in oil pressure, and had to retire on lap 49th.
