1971 British Grand Prix

The British Grand Prix 1971 was the 6th round of the 1971 F1 season, and took place at the Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, UK, on July 17th.

Jackie Stewart won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Ronnie Peterson, and Emerson Fittipaldi completing the podium.

Clay Regazzoni started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered a loss in oil pressure, and had to retire on lap 48th.

These included, Tim Schenken, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 63, Reine Wisell, and Andrea de Adamich, both did not classify, Peter Gethin, Jacky Ickx, Chris Amon, Denny Hulme, and Dave Charlton, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Clay Regazzoni, and Mike Beuttler, both suffered a loss in oil pressure, Derek Bell, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 23, and Graham Hill, and Jackie Oliver, both had to retire due to an accident.
