1968 British Grand Prix

The British Grand Prix 1968 was the 7th round of the 1968 F1 season, and took place at the Brands Hatch in Kent, UK, on July 20th.

Jo Siffert won the race after starting in the 4th position, followed by Chris Amon, and Jacky Ickx completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 12th position of the grid.

Graham Hill started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he had problems with the halfshaft, and had to retire on lap 26th.

These included, Jochen Rindt, who had a fuel leak on lap 55, Pedro Rodríguez, Vic Elford, Jean-Pierre Beltoise, Jo Bonnier, and Jack Brabham, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Silvio Moser, who did not classify on lap 52, Jackie Oliver, who had a transmission problem on lap 43, Robin Widdows, who had issues with the ignition on lap 34, Graham Hill, who had problems with the halfshaft on lap 26, Richard Attwood, who had a problem with the radiator of the car on lap 10, and Dan Gurney, who had a fuel pump failure on lap 8.
