1952 British Grand Prix

The British Grand Prix 1952 was the 5th round of the 1952 F1 season, and took place at the Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, UK, on July 19th.

Alberto Ascari won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Piero Taruffi, and Mike Hawthorn completing the podium.

Nino Farina started from the pole position, but only managed to finish 6th.

These included, Peter Collins, who had issues with the ignition on lap 73, Duncan Hamilton, Stirling Moss, Tony Gaze, and David Murray, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Maurice Trintignant, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 21, Robert Manzon, who had a problem with the clutch on lap 9, Peter Hirt, and Eitel Cantoni, both saw the breaks of the car give up, and Bill Aston, who withdrew on lap 0.
