The British Grand Prix 1950 was the 1st round of the 1950 F1 season, and took place at the Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, UK, on May 13th.

Nino Farina won the race from the pole, followed by Luigi Fagioli, and Reg Parnell completing the podium.

These included, Juan Fangio, who had an oil leak on lap 62, Joe Kelly, who did not classify on lap 57, Prince Bira, who run out of fuel on lap 49, David Murray, and Toulo de Graffenried, both suffered an engine malfunction, Geoff Crossley, who had a transmission problem on lap 43, Louis Chiron, who had a problem with the clutch on lap 26, Eugène Martin, who suffered a loss in oil pressure on lap 8, Peter Walker, and Tony Rolt, both experienced issues with the gearbox, and Leslie Johnson, who had a problem with the sueprcharger on lap 2.
