The Brazilian Grand Prix 2003 was the 3rd round of the 2003 F1 season, and took place at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace in São Paulo, Brazil, on April 6th.
Giancarlo Fisichella won the race after starting in the 8th position, followed by Kimi Räikkönen, and Fernando Alonso completing the podium.
Rubens Barrichello started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he had a fuel system failure, and had to retire on lap 47th.

From 1996 to 2002 the grid order was decided in a single qualifying session which would last 1 hour. During this time each driver had a maximun of 12 laps to set their best time.
This time around, Rubens Barrichello managed to secure the pole position with a time of 1:13.807 seconds, 0.011 seconds faster than David Coulthard, who completed the first line of the grid.
