The Brazilian Grand Prix 2000 was the 2nd round of the 2000 F1 season, and took place at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace in São Paulo, Brazil, on March 26th.
Michael Schumacher won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by Giancarlo Fisichella, and Heinz-Harald Frentzen completing the podium.
Mika Häkkinen started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered a loss in oil pressure, and had to retire on lap 30th.

These included, Johnny Herbert, and Jacques Villeneuve, both experienced issues with the gearbox, Marc Gené, Nick Heidfeld, and Alexander Wurz, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Mika Häkkinen, who suffered a loss in oil pressure on lap 30, Rubens Barrichello, who experienced an hydraulic malfunction on lap 27, Eddie Irvine, who lost control and spun off the track on lap 20, Jean Alesi, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 11, and Pedro Diniz, and Mika Salo, both had to retire for safety reasons.
