1983 Brazilian Grand Prix

The Brazilian Grand Prix 1983 was the 1st round of the 1983 F1 season, and took place at the Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on March 13th.

Nelson Piquet won the race after starting in the 4th position, followed by Niki Lauda, and Jacques Laffite completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 18th position of the grid.

Keke Rosberg started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he , and had to retire on lap 63rd.
