2001 Belgian Grand Prix

The Belgian Grand Prix 2001 was the 14th round of the 2001 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Spa, Belgium, on September 2nd.

Michael Schumacher won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by David Coulthard, and Giancarlo Fisichella completing the podium.

Juan Pablo Montoya started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered an engine malfunction, and had to retire on lap 1st.

These included, Jarno Trulli, and Juan Pablo Montoya, both suffered an engine malfunction, Jenson Button, who lost control and spun off the track on lap 17, Pedro de la Rosa, Nick Heidfeld, Eddie Irvine, and Luciano Burti, all of whom retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, Kimi Räikkönen, who had a transmission problem on lap 0, and Fernando Alonso, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 0.
