These included, Gerhard Berger, and Mark Blundell, both retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, Érik Comas, who had a fuel pump failure on lap 37, Derek Warwick, Karl Wendlinger, and Andrea de Cesaris, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Christian Fittipaldi, and Pierluigi Martini, both lost control and spun off the track, Aguri Suzuki, and Thierry Boutsen, both experienced issues with the gearbox, Rubens Barrichello, who had a problem witht he wheel bearing on lap 11, Jean Alesi, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 4, and Alessandro Zanardi, who was injured on lap 0.
