1985 Belgian Grand Prix

The Belgian Grand Prix 1985 was the 13th round of the 1985 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Spa, Belgium, on September 15th.

Ayrton Senna won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Nigel Mansell, and Alain Prost, who originally had the pole position, completing the podium.

These included, Jacques Laffite, Philippe Alliot, and Piercarlo Ghinzani, all of whom had to retire due to an accident, Huub Rothengatter, who did not classify on lap 37, Riccardo Patrese, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 31, Eddie Cheever, Patrick Tambay, and Christian Danner, all of whom experienced issues with the gearbox, Teo Fabi, who had a throttle issue on lap 23, Elio de Angelis, who had a turbo failure on lap 17, Stefan Johansson, who lost control and spun off the track on lap 7, and Michele Alboreto, who had a problem with the clutch on lap 3.
