The Belgian Grand Prix 1979 was the 6th round of the 1979 F1 season, and took place at the Zolder in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium, on May 13th.

Jody Scheckter won the race after starting in the 7th position, followed by Jacques Laffite, who originally had the pole position, and Didier Pironi completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 12th position of the grid.
