1974 Belgian Grand Prix

The Belgian Grand Prix 1974 was the 5th round of the 1974 F1 season, and took place at the Nivelles-Baulers in Brussels, Belgium, on May 12th.

Emerson Fittipaldi won the race after starting in the 4th position, followed by Niki Lauda, and Jody Scheckter completing the podium.

Clay Regazzoni started from the pole position, but only managed to finish 4th.

These included, Brian Redman, Carlos Reutemann, and Rikky von Opel, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Jacky Ickx, who suffered from an overall car overhating on lap 72, Tom Pryce, and Henri Pescarolo, both retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, Ronnie Peterson, who had a fuel leak on lap 56, Patrick Depailler, who saw the breaks of the car give up on lap 53, Jochen Mass, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 53, Gérard Larrousse, who experienced issues with a tyre on lap 53, Carlos Pace, who on lap 50, James Hunt, who had to retire due to an accident on lap 45, Arturo Merzario, who had a transmission problem on lap 29, and Hans-Joachim Stuck, who had a problem with the clutch on lap 6.
