These included, Graham Hill, Bruce McLaren, and Willy Mairesse, all of whom had issues with the ignition, Maurice Trintignant, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 23, Lorenzo Bandini, who had a problem witht he wheel bearing on lap 20, Jack Brabham, and Innes Ireland, both suffered an engine malfunction, Lucien Bianchi, who had an oil leak on lap 9, and Tony Marsh, Wolfgang Seidel, Ian Burgess, Cliff Allison, and Henry Taylor, all of whom withdrew.
