The Belgian Grand Prix 1961 was the 3rd round of the 1961 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Spa, Belgium, on June 18th.

Phil Hill won the race from the pole, followed by Wolfgang von Trips, and Richie Ginther completing the podium.

The reace did not end without incidents... 15 drivers out of the original 26 who started did not managed to cross the finish line.

These included, Graham Hill, Bruce McLaren, and Willy Mairesse, all of whom had issues with the ignition, Maurice Trintignant, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 23, Lorenzo Bandini, who had a problem witht he wheel bearing on lap 20, Jack Brabham, and Innes Ireland, both suffered an engine malfunction, Lucien Bianchi, who had an oil leak on lap 9, and Tony Marsh, Wolfgang Seidel, Ian Burgess, Cliff Allison, and Henry Taylor, all of whom withdrew.
