2000 Austrian Grand Prix

The Austrian Grand Prix 2000 was the 10th round of the 2000 F1 season, and took place at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, on July 16th.

Mika Häkkinen won the race from the pole, followed by David Coulthard, and Rubens Barrichello completing the podium.

The reace did not end without incidents... 10 drivers out of the original 22 who started did not managed to cross the finish line.

These included, Ricardo Zonta, and Jos Verstappen, both suffered an engine malfunction, Ralf Schumacher, who saw the breaks of the car give up on lap 52, Nick Heidfeld, Jean Alesi, Michael Schumacher, Jarno Trulli, and Giancarlo Fisichella, all of whom retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, Pedro de la Rosa, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 32, and Heinz-Harald Frentzen, who had an oil leak on lap 4.
