1999 Austrian Grand Prix

The Austrian Grand Prix 1999 was the 9th round of the 1999 F1 season, and took place at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, on July 25th.

Eddie Irvine won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by David Coulthard, and Mika Häkkinen, who originally had the pole position, completing the podium.

These included, Giancarlo Fisichella, Rubens Barrichello, and Toranosuke Takagi, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Ricardo Zonta, who had a problem with the clutch on lap 63, Jean Alesi, and Alessandro Zanardi, both run out of fuel, Pedro de la Rosa, and Ralf Schumacher, both lost control and spun off the track, and Jacques Villeneuve, who had problems with the halfshaft on lap 34.
