The Austrian Grand Prix 1985 was the 10th round of the 1985 F1 season, and took place at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, on August 18th.

Alain Prost won the race from the pole, followed by Ayrton Senna, and Michele Alboreto completing the podium.

These included, Stefan Bellof, who run out of fuel on lap 49, Patrick Tambay, Niki Lauda, Derek Warwick, Kenny Acheson, Nigel Mansell, Riccardo Patrese, and Jonathan Palmer, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Jacques Laffite, and Andrea de Cesaris, both had to retire due to an accident, Pierluigi Martini, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 40, Gerhard Berger, Philippe Alliot, and Eddie Cheever, all of whom had a turbo failure, Teo Fabi, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 31, Nelson Piquet, who suffered from problems with the exhaust on lap 26, Keke Rosberg, who suffered a loss in oil pressure on lap 4, and Piercarlo Ghinzani, who withdrew on lap 0.

Qualifying
