The Austrian Grand Prix 1983 was the 11th round of the 1983 F1 season, and took place at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, on August 14th.

Alain Prost won the race after starting in the 5th position, followed by René Arnoux, and Nelson Piquet completing the podium.

Patrick Tambay started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he had issues with the ignition, and had to retire on lap 30th.
