The Austrian Grand Prix 1971 was the 8th round of the 1971 F1 season, and took place at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, on August 15th.

Jo Siffert won the race from the pole, followed by Emerson Fittipaldi, and Tim Schenken completing the podium.

These included, Mike Beuttler, who did not classify on lap 47, François Cevert, Jacky Ickx, John Surtees, Clay Regazzoni, and Denny Hulme, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Jackie Stewart, who had problems with the halfshaft on lap 35, Niki Lauda, who on lap 20, Howden Ganley, who had issues with the ignition on lap 5, and Jo Bonnier, who had a fuel leak on lap 0.

Qualifying
