The Austrian Grand Prix 1970 was the 9th round of the 1970 F1 season, and took place at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, on August 16th.
Jacky Ickx won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by Clay Regazzoni, and Rolf Stommelen completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 17th position of the grid.
Jochen Rindt started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered an engine malfunction, and had to retire on lap 21st.
