The Australian Grand Prix 1992 was the 16th round of the 1992 F1 season, and took place at the Adelaide Street Circuit in Adelaide, Australia, on November 8th.

Gerhard Berger won the race after starting in the 4th position, followed by Michael Schumacher, and Martin Brundle completing the podium.

Nigel Mansell started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, and had to retire on lap 18th.

These included, Jyrki Järvilehto, and Emanuele Naspetti, both experienced issues with the gearbox, Bertrand Gachot, who had a fuel system failure on lap 51, Riccardo Patrese, Andrea de Cesaris, Érik Comas, and Michele Alboreto, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Ukyo Katayama, who had a problem with the differential on lap 35, Nigel Mansell, and Ayrton Senna, both retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, Maurício Gugelmin, who lost control and spun off the track on lap 7, and Pierluigi Martini, and Olivier Grouillard, both had to retire due to an accident.
