1990 Australian Grand Prix

The Australian Grand Prix 1990 was the 16th round of the 1990 F1 season, and took place at the Adelaide Street Circuit in Adelaide, Australia, on November 4th.

Nelson Piquet won the race after starting in the 7th position, followed by Nigel Mansell, and Alain Prost completing the podium.

Ayrton Senna started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he lost control and spun off the track, and had to retire on lap 61st.

These included, Emanuele Pirro, and Gabriele Tarquini, both suffered an engine malfunction, Ayrton Senna, Satoru Nakajima, and David Brabham, all of whom lost control and spun off the track, Johnny Herbert, who had a problem with the clutch on lap 57, Ivan Capelli, who had a throttle issue on lap 46, Derek Warwick, Éric Bernard, and Gianni Morbidelli, all of whom experienced issues with the gearbox, Maurício Gugelmin, who saw the breaks of the car give up on lap 27, Andrea de Cesaris, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 23, and Aguri Suzuki, who had a transmission problem on lap 6.
