The Argentine Grand Prix 1977 was the 1st round of the 1977 F1 season, and took place at the Autódromo Juan y Oscar Gálvez in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on January 9th.

Jody Scheckter won the race with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 11th position of the grid, followed by Carlos Pace, and Carlos Reutemann completing the podium.

James Hunt started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered a suspension problem, and had to retire on lap 31st.
