The Argentine Grand Prix 1974 was the 1st round of the 1974 F1 season, and took place at the Autódromo Juan y Oscar Gálvez in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on January 13th.

Denny Hulme won the race after starting in the 10th position, followed by Niki Lauda, and Clay Regazzoni completing the podium.

Ronnie Peterson started from the pole position, but only managed to finish 13th.

These included, Carlos Reutemann, and Howden Ganley, both run out of fuel, Graham Hill, Jody Scheckter, and Jochen Mass, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Jacky Ickx, and Hans-Joachim Stuck, both had a problem with the clutch, Richard Robarts, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 36, François Migault, who suffered a water leak on lap 31, Carlos Pace, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 21, Arturo Merzario, and James Hunt, both suffered from an overall car overhating, and Peter Revson, and Jean-Pierre Jarier, both had to retire due to an accident.
